Aurora was born from a digital exercise in precision translated softly onto the body.
Inspired by Charles James’ dolman coat, this piece reinterprets its structure through my zero-waste cutting methodology, dividing the sleeve into two pieces while maintaining a seamless body — no side seams, no excess, only flow.
The fabric — a cotton fil coupé with delicate cut threads in Mexican pink over white — creates a barely visible texture, like a trace of light resting on the skin.
Each stitch preserves that sense of contained air, where form sustains itself within the textile, without reinforcements or embellishment.
I named her Aurora because her presence is brief and silent, yet she transforms every space she touches.
A one-of-a-kind piece, made to live long and age gracefully — an exercise in restraint, intention, and light.
